permit and little or no knowledge of traffic
laws. He/she knows basic car control and
minimal or no driving experience.
This program is known as Drivers Education which consists of the
minimum 36-hours of behind-the-wheel lessons
and in-class instruction. Our drivers
education program satisfies the requirements
of Joshua's Law, provides insurance
discounts and it offers $150 tax credit. All Programs include the 30-Hour Classroom + Behind-the-Wheel. |

is one complete 30-hr drivers education class. If the
student chooses the weekend schedule, then he/she must
attend 4 days
(2 weekends) in order to complete the 30-Hour course.

I am under 17 years of age
and need to know what course to I take to satisfy
Joshua's Law? |

Any one of ALFA Driving School's
drivers education courses (in-class or online) that
consist of 30-hours of classroom instruction plus
6 or more hours of behind-the-wheel training will
satisfy Joshua's law. Keep in mind that
Joshua's Law requires a total of 40 hours
behind-the-wheel. All or a portion of the
driving can be done with ALFA. Our prices
range from $455 for the minimum of 30+6 up to $1,999
for 30+40 for the entire Joshua's Law program.
Online 30-hour courses only $89. Payment plans

How many lessons would I need to
learn to drive and pass the road test? |

This is the magic
question? Keep in mind that ONE size does
not
fit all.
Generally speaking, most new drivers will gain the
confidence, lose the fear and learn the skills of
everyday driving within 8 to 15 hours. Eight
(8) hours best fits the driver with some limited
experience, while 15 hours would best fit the driver
with no experience. You may call (770)

specific questions. Lessons are 2 or 3 hours
per day.

Would one (1) lesson do the trick? |

One lesson lasts a
minimum of two hours; however, one can take more
than two hours in a day. Your first class
instructor will evaluate you and recommend number of
classes / number of hours required based on your
skills.
As for the road test, we only recommend one lesson
if you have good driving experience and need to
improve one or two specific skills. For
example, I only want to learn parallel parking and
reverse. In this case, one lesson would be a
good match.

Do you pick-up and drop-off for
every driving lesson? |

Yes, once you book
a driving lesson, the instructor would pick you up
from your home, work or school. When done,
drop-you off again. We can also pick-up from
one location and drop-off at another. Guardian
consent needed if under 18 yrs old.

in-class instruction, but don't have a ride to get
to ALFA. Does the bus take me there? |

Yes, all of our metro locations
are accessible by bus or train. Our main
office located at 8610 Roswell Road, Suite 340,
Atlanta 30350 is accessible via bus #87. Other

I have an appointment to take
the road test at a local DDS center. Can I use
ALFA's training car and have someone pick me up? |

Yes, we can pick you up and take
you to any metro DDS center on your scheduled date
and time. We will pick you up approximately 2
hours before your appointment, practice the road
test skills for 45 to 60 minutes, provide the school
vehicle for the test and when you are finished,
bring you back home. This normally takes 4
hours from start to finish. Cost is $180.
This package is reserved for previous students
and/or drivers with 2 years minimum driving
experience. If you are a new driver, you
should call to schedule a driving lesson first.
